All of our floor mats are made with high quality cotton combined with polyester and printed with max resolution. They are lined with thick black stitched edgings to prevent fraying and deterioration.

We've designed the floor mats as a visual representation of Kyoto's countryside temple 'Hosen-in Temple Ohara.' Although the temples in the countryside lack grand halls & vibrant colours, they surely make up for it with their... bloody history & blood stained walls.

The origin of the blood stained walls dates back to the 1600's of Fushimi Castle, a 12-day-long battle between Daimyo (military lord) Ishida Mitsunari and the Tokugawa Shogun (military ruler) loyalist Torii Mototada, which ended in tragedy.
